Drive System Design expands capabilities, with Hinduja Tech’s ICE offering
At Drive System Design (DSD), we are committed to providing cutting-edge mobility solutions. As part of this commitment, we have integrated Hinduja Tech’s Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) design, development, and testing capabilities into DSD. This strategic move enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive powertrain solutions across industries, including automotive, aerospace, defence, commercial vehicles, off-highway, and marine.
A unified approach to powertrain innovation
This integration ensures a seamless transition for customers of both Hinduja Tech and DSD, with no disruption to existing interactions but with enhanced program delivery and customer experience. Our combined ICE delivery model blends trusted local engineering expertise with a cost-efficient global delivery system, ensuring high-quality, innovative solutions for customers across diverse industries.
By adding ICE capabilities, we strengthen our ability to develop advanced propulsion systems, supporting our customers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Advancing electrified propulsion (EP) capabilities
This integration also complements our ongoing efforts in electrification. Recently, we expanded our Electrified Propulsion (EP) function by acquiring the team and facilities of Midlands-based engineering consultancy Lyra Electronics. This move reinforces our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art electrification solutions while maintaining our expertise in traditional powertrain engineering.
A shared vision for the future
Kumar Prabhas, CEO of Hinduja Tech, expressed his enthusiasm for this move: “Expanding our offerings through DSD allows us to deliver exceptional engineering work and innovative solutions for our customers. We are dedicated to developing pioneering solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry.”
Mark Findlay, CEO of DSD, added: “This integration aligns with our commitment to engineering excellence and innovation. With comprehensive capabilities to develop next-generation propulsion and transmission systems across multiple sectors, we are poised to offer responsive and flexible solutions to our global clients.”
As we continue to evolve, we remain focused on delivering industry-leading engineering solutions.
