Engineer – Mechanical Engineering

Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan USA

In the role of Engineer – Mechanical Engineering, you’ll apply and develop your technical knowledge, immediately contributing to the successful delivery of interesting and challenging projects. You will utilise technical project management skills that enusre you and the team deliver success for our customers.

What you will need

You will have:

  • Mechanical engineering design and / or analysis experience utilizing SMT MASTA, FEA software or Matlab/
  • Simulink
  • Demonstrated design analysis capability
  • Ambition to develop engineering and management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Key Responsibilities

You will be:

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of transmissions and driveline systems.
  • Design and analysis of transmission systems and components, such as gears, shafts, housings, selector systems, clutch systems, hydraulics etc.
  • Manage personal workload
  • Reporting to Engineering Team Leaders with regular communication
  • Maintain customer relationships and represent DSD’s company principles where possible
  • Presentation and communication of technical design elements to client companies
  • Seek support where appropriate and maintain good levels of communication to peers and customers
